There's ongoing drama in followups to January's vampire post. If only to emphasize that I quote from a classic fairy tale:
"If you believe," he shouted to them, "clap your hands; don't let Tink die."
Do you believe in dollars?

I do believe in a dollar... as originally defined in the Coinage Act of 1792:
$1 371 4/16 grain (24.1 g) pure or 416 grain (27.0 g) standard silver
A Federal Reserve Note is a confidence game doomed to end, and since the typical lifespan of a fiat currency (paper given value only by government decree) is around 40 years, our current dollar is coming up on its expiration date (2011).
Will that chunk of silver drink a cup of poison intended for you?
If not, I'll prefer the fairy.
OooooKaaay.
And I thought it was you who haragued about the need for blogs because they offered a way for more substantive conversations.
Maybe that was your computer half. [sigh]
I guess you're all-too human after all.
Whereas my interest in the dollar is dubious, I definitely believe in parable and metaphor as extremely powerful means of opening lines of communication.
